You can visit this new website at www.apieceofthepuzzle.net - it is for children, teens as well as for parents and educators.
All children and young adults with special needs or a disability are invited to become members. Parents, educators, schools and organizations for special needs are always welcome to join as we have articles and a forum that may benefit all members.
There are many things to see and do inside the website:
- The ability to chat with puzzle-pals
- Games room
- Parents Forum
- Articles regarding special needs or disabilities
- Creative Corner; where the members can submit poems, song lyrics, drawings
- The Learning Curve
- Discussion Topic
There is a kids corner where the kids can play over 200 games or respond to our Kids Discussion Topic of the month. A creative corner where children submit a picture, poem or story and we will publish it. There is also the ability to chat to other members which is private, or you can create a "group" to talk which will also be private. This chat function is for all members. The links page has articles for parents and educators as well as some videos, (a child with aspergers, a child with down syndrome and a video from the Brain Injury Association). For parents we have a parents forum, an article a month with the other ones archived on site so you can look at previous articles, an article for educators and it is archived as well. All articles are written by professionals in their field of expertise. And best of all, it is FREE!
