Temporary Changes to MYPAS Services

Major external restoration work is due to start on MYPAS’ historic Tolbooth Hall premises from Monday 7th May 2012 until October 2012, as part of the Dalkeith Townscape Heritage Initiative and Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme.

The Tolbooth restoration is one of the four priority projects within Dalkeith. Extensive conservation and repair work will be undertaken to the façade, roof and the rear of the building.

It is estimated that this work will take around 6 months to complete and will necessitate much of MYPAS’ service provision to be re-located to other venues. During the course of the building work please note the following changes in MYPAS service provision:

Monday lunchtime (12.30 to 2pm) sexual health drop-ins will no longer be provided

Counselling, Art Therapy and Alcohol/Drug Use support sessions will not provided from Tolbooth Hall - these services will be relocated to the Computer Rooms within Dalkeith Country Park and also provided on an outreach basis at various venues across Midlothian. Young people and professionals will still be able to contact counsellors, art therapists and alcohol/drug support staff on their direct dial numbers or on the main number: 0131 454 0757

During the course of the restoration work, the following MYPAS sexual health drop-ins will continue to be provided from Tolbooth Hall on:

Tuesday 4.30 — 7.30pm
Wednesday 4.30 — 7.30pm
Friday 1.00 — 4.00pm

ALL deliveries and enquiries in person during office hours will be directed to the Newmills Road office - 4/4 Newmills Road, Dalkeith EH22 1DU

MYPAS' main phone number will continue to operate as normal: 0131 454 0757

MYPAS will endeavour to keep any inconvenience to service users to a minimum and ensure that any further enforced changes to our service provision will be widely publicised.
