Eating Disorders Exhibition and Performance Afternoon
No Bodies Perfect is a support group for information and awareness of eating disorders in Scotland. An exhibition and performance is taking place as part of the Scottish Arts and Film Festival 2012.
The group are looking for pieces of creative writing or artworks from people who have experienced an eating disorder. The aim is to raise awareness of eating disorders and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.
The exhibition will display paintings, design, drawings, poetry, stories and creative writing, collages, posters, sculptures, photography, and crafts . The performance afternoon will include singing, music, poetry recital, recovery stories, a monologue and a drama piece.
Please see the newsletter for full information.
If you are interested in submitting a piece, please email i_would_like_to_enquire@yahoo.com for details on how to enter your submission. We will also be holding two art classes for those with eating disorders: one on a Monday evening in August and one weekday evening in early September, so if you are interested in attending these to create your piece for the exhibition, please let us know and we can email you with exact details nearer the time.
