Scotland's Mental Health First Aid Instructor Training
To increase the number of Scotland's Mental Health First Aid (SMHFA) instructors, NHS Health Scotland will deliver 'train the trainer' courses in September and October.
SMHFA is a 12 hour training course that teaches people how to:
-
give initial help to someone experiencing a mental health problem
-
deal with a crisis situation or the first signs of someone developing mental ill health
-
guide people towards appropriate professional help
For more information and application forms visit the SMHFA website email nhs.HealthScotland-SMHFA@nhs.net or call 0131 536 8772.
